Default Trying to avoid a disaster

I noticed that when the headlights are on you can't close the hood. How would you boost the car and then close the hood at night when the lights come up automatically. Is there a way to turn the headlights off at night will the car is running?

That's it... turn it to "off" and you'll have to manually turn on the headlights

When Twilight is on, they will turn on/pop up when the hand brake is released (M6), in auto's I believe it is when you move it from park.

Hood should open and close with them up.

Turn the sentinel off.
If your lights failed to pop up, you would open the hood to operate them manually. You would then have to close the hood with your lights in the up position.

I read the manual and the twilight isn't shutting off when I hit reset like the manual says. If anyone else has a 99 corvette you may have the same problem. I had the car at the dealer and they started the car in
there car bay with the hood open and the headlights took a chunk of paint off of both sides of the hood..........Dude

I've owned a 98 and now have an 03 and I've turned on the lights many times with the hood up (cleaning, checking, etc) and they have never hit the hood. I've never tried it with the hood only partially raised and I won't now, just in case. Did the dealer do that? Are they repairing your hood?
