Hmmmm,

Just ordered new sensors for my 99 from Fred Beans.
While the pricing was OK, the shipping seems pretty high for 4 sensors

Call them and talk to them about it. Does seem a little high considering they will come in a small box.

That is a good price for the early sensors (~$80 a piece). Not sure about shipping?

I recently ordered a set of Nuts for the Sensors from Fred Beans. The Sensors came without the nuts but were very inexpensive on the Auction site.
The nuts came to $1.36 each, total $5.44 and S&H was $7.95 total cost $13.39. The nuts are aluminum and weigh next to nothing. I suggested they just put them in a small envelope. I was told that each order gets a minimum of $7.95 for S&H ( Starting to sound like GM Parts Direct). I would have bought the nuts locally but after trying 4 dealers I gave up.
They may have treated your order as 4 seperate sales, I would contact them.

We paid 390 and change for the exact same order to PA then we had to ship them to Tom Z's (they installed them for me on the new wheels and tires). Mine is also a 99.

Most of the suppliers charge more as the order $ amount goes up.

I got a set of the 2K sensors from Fred Beans last Feb-06 when Gene was still there. He took off the "o" rings, said they came with the sensors and they did. I bought a larger "O" ring anyway.

Sensors - $298.44, Nuts - $5.44 = $309.32.
Shipping $29.39 = Total $338.71

Guess they have raised their prices and shipping too.

Default Update

Looks like it pays to question the cost of shipping.........still seems too steep, but much better than it was

Perhaps they were insured so it took the cost up a bit! Hope they work and don't give you some trouble codes!

Thanks,Matt
