Just fixed the headlight again!
Well, apparently Rodney's glue desn't work that well.
I'm refering to the kit for changing out the gears in our headlight motors.
The gears are great, however the epoxy leaves a lot to be desired.
I had installed the brass gears a while back and used the epoxy included. It separated and the glue flakes fell off, even though I had cleaned all the surfaces with alcohol first before I glued it.
Sooooo....This time I got smart, after I reglued it I took my trusty old soldering gun and melted the entire edge of the cap where it joins the gear case.
It's definitely solid now!
Just a helpful hint if yours pops open!
Rodney has fixed that problem. His new kit has different epoxy and also an additional brace that is used. I had the same problem as you, contacted Rodney and he sent the updated kit in a very timely fashion.

The Brace! That's what will keep it from separating.
