Car will not start
Everything seems fine, but starter does not engage. I took the battery out and checked, it is good. I saw where some of you have had trouble with starter, I just did not think they would go without any warning.
Any other ideas beside the starter before that is my next step.
The battery was checked at local auto parts store. When I turn the key, I get 1 loud click and nothing else. I am able to start the car by drifting and popping the clutch. However, when I shut it off, the problem continues. I did try to tighten the gas cap, it was loose, but it did not make any difference.

How did you check the battery? What do you usually set your DIC info on? If the mileage shows it could be a low battery. The computer will go to defalt to keep other important info .
EDIT sorry it's to late for you to check the DIC if you removed the battery.

Does it spin but not start?
Does it turn at all?
Does it only click?
Did you try cleaning the pellet with an eraser? That helps if it won't crank at all.
Tell us more...
