Un blot the seat and take it out. Pull the carpet and clean it. You can not get it truly clean in the car. Having it out will help it dry also.
Take carpet over to a full car wash place and have them clean carpet. I just did this on my brothers car when we putting in some sound insulation on floors.
Try "Spot Shot", Instant Carpet Stain Remover. Its made by the WD-40 Company, San Diego, Ca., www.wd40.com. We use it at work and it works great. Spray it on and wipe it off.
good ideas, I got most of it out with good old elbow grease, but I'll try the wd40 cleaner first, then remove the carpet and go from there. At least it will be easy to dye if the carpet is out and its permanent.
I spilled a bowl of baked beans in my 05 Crown Vic work car with light grey carpet. It was nasty. Wiped all I could get with out with a damp rag, then sprayed the area with the stain remover, and wiped it clean. It left no stain whatsoever. Just follow the directions...no need to remove the carpet at all. Even the smell will be gone. Its great stuff.
The folks over in the Car Care Discussion section of the Forum may be able to provide you with even more suggestions. Several knowledgeable people and a few professional detailers hang out in that section. Good luck with the carpet.
