stall converter question

Default stall converter question

I just installes a Yanks 2800 stall converter
i really can not tell a difference
how do i know if the converter was ever installed
I also changed out my gears to 3:73's at te same time
I have a 2001 A-4
How do i work the stall

I dont know what gears you had before the 3:73's? But if you had the 2:73's or 3:15's if your car is a A4, you should see a very big diff out of the hole!

How to work the stall... from a standstill or a roll - stand on the gas...

and them buy some new rear tyres because they should be a big cloud of smoke

Ok, stand on the gas!!!! well it smoked the tires before the gears and stall

Is a 2800 stall enought to see a didfference from the factory

With your foot on the brake, the tranny in gear, and the throttle wide open the motor should rev to about 2800 rpm. Take your foot off the brake and away you go, after the tires stop smoking that is.

That very mod is high on my list... the converter and going from 2.7s to 3.7s... I was hoping that there would be night and day difference ...
