Odd wiper/washer problem...

Odd wiper/washer problem...
Whenever I use my windsheild wipers, it turns on the washer pumps too. So whenever my wipers are on, its spraying washer fluid everywhere lol. Any ideas?

Well I usually dont drive in the rain, but I accidently hit the wiper switch when I was turning the other day, then I had to clean all of the washer fluid residue spots off my windsheild. I'm half tempted to just unplug the pump since I never use the washers anyway, but I would like to fix the problem correctly if possible.
