I know i'm gonna get a lot of biased answers considering this is a corvette website but here it goes. i currently have a 2wd Nissan Titan and have been saving for that 2002 Z06 but have lately been interested in getting a 4wd truck to go offroading. So has anyone out there sold there truck for a Vette or vice versa.

I sold my 2003 Ford Sport Trac for my Corvette. I really love having a truck, but the Sport Trac was terrable on the highway. Got about 16 - 20 miles per gallon and the wind would blow it everywhere. A short time after buying my 04 Vette, I picked up a used 04 Chevy Van. Never had a van before. I actually like it alot - not as much as the Vette of course.

I've spent years doing both. The Vette is SOOOOOOO much more fun than off roading. No broken parts, getting stuck, getting terrible gas mileage, ....... Get the Vette, you won't be sorry.
I have had a truck in the driveway for the last 30+ years
(did try a El Camino for a few years) and honestly I can not live without one.. just needed !
I also have had at least one (now 5) Corvettes in the garage over that time span...
I sold my 2005 Chevy Z71 for my 02 Z06. There are days when I regret it because it was SUCH a nice truck (black with tan leather, loaded, sunroof, etc.) and the payments were cheaper. But then I get in the vette and its all ok! I just would rather drive a sports car everyday instead of a truck. I never haul anything big and Im single so the vette works for me.
Its all up to what you like to drive the best and what works for you.
If you are in Florida I would rather have the vette, Fl is boring for off roading. I like hills. Buy the vette and and get some old beater rag to take off roading
If you like off-roading, I'm guessing that like me, you have friends with trucks. Just ride with one of them - then you won't feel to bad when you have to leave one of 'em over night frame deep in a mud hole-cause there's no way it'll belong to you!
