Default Brake Calipers

Does anyone make brake calipers that use a pin and a cotter key to hold the calipers in place. I had a 95 that all you did was pull two cotter keys, two pins, then yank the caliper to replace pads.
I can not remember the name of them (the calipers).
I do not recall them as being GM as I bought the car from a guy who was going to race it.
Thanks

The C4 brakes were a "piece of cake". Pad replacement did not require the removal of the calipers. Too bad C5 aren't the same design.

Haven't heard of any like you want - at least not posted here. You may want to call Vette Brakes and Products (VBP) and see what they offer.

Not sure what you mean by removing the calipers to change the pads. The only mounting difference between the C4 caliper and the C5 caliper is the pin Vs a guide pin bolt for the C5. To change the C5 pads you remove either the top or bottom caliper guide pin bolt and swivel the caliper open. It is actually easier than the C4 pin setup. I traded my C4 for a C5 in 97 and have been following the same pad change procedure (except for the bolt) since I started changing pads on the C4.
