I have a 2000 vert MN6 with a Vararam and GHL bullets. I want to do some Mods and my thought was Headers , intake and throttle body then later do a supercharger. My question is am I going about this right and which products do I go with? Fast vs LS6 intake LG streets vs. Kooks headers and do I need to change throttle body? I am trying not to go crazy cost wise and wonder if going with the fast and/or LG's is worth the extra money? I know owning a corvette and saving money is an oxymoron
The car will be used on the street only! No track time. In terms of stop I have drilled slotted rotors SS brakelines In terms of handling new Z06 sways and tunnel plate will be installed when headers are done. I think if I want to go track will probably get a z06 or FRC instead.

Firstly, drilled rotors won't help in stopping ability; they are for the bling factor. SS Lines are good.
Secondly, talk with a tuner (MTI is in your area) and explain your long term objective. He can help guide you in the selection of interim mods.
This could change your idea about the track and change the mods you want. We were headed in one direction with our mod plan until we went with a group of Corvettes to the track.
Of course the problem is that it's hard to tell what you ultimately want until you've been down the road and owned these different types of mods and lived with the issues and advantages that each brings.
First thing to decide is if the car needs to retain true daily driver practicality (whether you drive it every day or not). If so, that must remain foremost in your list of requirements, and that will be hard, because any awful lot of the mods commonly discussed will impinge either mildly or severely on DD capability.
Does it need to idle decently? Do you need to be able to comfortably carry on a conversation with your significant other? Does it need to last 100k miles? If you blow it up (or the shop screws it up), is that a pita or a financial disaster? If you make enough power to start puking the driveline out of the car, can you afford to get it fixed/upgraded?
You might want to read this thread and this thread. They might not be talking about Corvettes in all cases, but they're talking about modded LS1s, and all this stuff applies directly.
Thanks for the input. My thoughts were that the CAI would get more air into the engine the headers xpipe and cat back exhaust would let the engine breath better. The intake and TB would mix or flow the fuel better. Figure I could do all this without opening up the engine and it would make the car a little more responsive and better SOTP feel. Also keeping reliability and streetability very high.
If those are your expectations, I think you're right. So happens I just did those exact mods. Results in this thread, reflections on same in this thread.
I guess great minds think alike gannett. I don't worry about the #'s just the feel. When the #'s get to high you can't get it all to the ground maybe with the addition of an LS6 intake I can pick up a few more ponies.

Yes to the CAI. Cat-back will do nothing for the power (regardless of some of the claims you read)...it is for looks & sound. We have run dynos...stock exhaust, PRT's, no exhaust, stock cats, Fast-cats...no effect.

What are your ultimate plans? First STOP - and figure out what you want from your car, your driving style, usage and budget - and THEN look at Mods.
2 cents deposited.

Wow this coming from the Grond which is compeletly stock What Stephen said is spot on. I had my car for 3 years before I did any mods for performance and then I wanted the sound of the blower, if you are thinking of a blower there are always good used kits for sale in the parts section, I got mine that way and have not looked back at all. So put a plan toghether and know that you will spend 20%-30% more than what you planned on, unless you only put on the minor bolt ons and my 2 cents and Merry Christmas
