Drop headers to replace clutch?
I was just told that the reason the estimate for changing out my clutch came in so high is that the headers (American Racing) have to be dropped to get at the clutch. Is that usual with headers?
I wish I had known, I would have waited and done it all at once, the headers have only been on a week.

Yes, youre full exhaust has to come out, the headers just need to be loosend, likely they can stay in the car. The Whole drivetrain comes out as well, it's quite a bit of work.

You can see in the pics below that the collectors block the removal of the bell housing which needs to come off to get at the clutch for replacement. The second pic shows the headers hanging free in the background.
