But how much? That 20% looks like gloss black paint. How in the world do you see out of it?
Course, on the other hand, if you get it too light, what's the point at all? So how much do you get to get a good effect and still be able to see out easily?
The dimples on the rear window are very difficult to cover well. You should ask your guy point blank how well is he going to cover the dimples. And let him know that if he is going to do it over if its not that good.
All my cars have tinted windows, 2 of the 3 are darker than legal up front.
On the coupe, the dots at the top of the rear window can be a problem. I ended up getting my tint taken off of them as it wouldn't stick and replaced that small area with black vinyl. It looks fine and is high enough up that it's not a visibility issue.
Not sure what % Limo tint is, but that is what I had my installer put on the back and both sides, and she is dark. No problem and in fact I feel a must in the daytime, especially in Arizona - South Carolina - or anywhere for that matter. Assuming it is legal or you are willing to pay up if caught. Keeps the interior cooler, private, and protects the interior if you have to leave it in the sun a lot. The night time however is a little dicey. Headlights are visible out both sides, and rear no problem - but I get concerned about pedestrians at times when turning left. I just stay double sharp if I observe pedestrians in the immediate area. I just could not bring my self to do the rear in limo and a less % on the sides. Too dark I could live with - to light - that would keep me up nights. That is my .02.
I agree that tint looks good on any car but I suggest only going with whatever tint level you are comfortable with. In my opinion, it's not worth worrying about hassles when you're out on the road especially if you live in a state that seems to put dark window tint in the same boat as drug running crimes.
Tint not only looks good, but it keeps the A/C from working so hard and helps protect the interior. My personal preference is to stay within the legal specs. Don't have to worry about tickets or getting inspection stickers.
