Hello everyone and thanks for you time and help. I'm looking at 2 cars both are 2000 silver one has 78xxx miles and 5 sp asking 20,500 and the other one is an auto and has 133,xxx miles they are asking 16,500. I know that is a lot of miles but is it a good deal or is the one with the less miles better in the long run. I have been reading on this site for a couple of weeks and seen that they will hold up. I don't know the history on eather other than a clean car fax.
I'd say keep shopping. You can find better deals, even if it costs you a plane ticket. I'm going to be selling my 98 with 52xxx in the spring for 20K....just throwing that out there so you know there are better deals out there

Shop around first & see what you come up with. I always like going on ebay to check out Vettes...That's just me though. Best of luck and Happy New Year
Keep looking there are plenty of lower mileage ones to buy, not that there is anything wrong with one with higher mileage, especially if it has been cared properly for, but for the same money one can probably be found and bought with at least half those miles, just my .02
Yep keep looking, ive been searching for 8 months until I found mine, I got my 00 coupe w/ 52k miles 6 speed for $20k out the door. There are way better deals out there, you may have to drive a few hundred miles out like I did.
While I was shopping the best advice I got was to be patient and do my homework. I almost bought a couple of 80K mile cars for 19K but found a 98 with 41K in perfect condition with some nice extras for 19K.

with the crowd, keep looking. There are lots of C5s out there with lower mileage and probably not much difference in cost from the one at $20K. Be patient and be willing to drive a bit to find just the right car.
Everyone knew it was a 6 spd, just giving you a hard time. Fill out your profile so we can see where you are. You can update it when you find the right C5. Good luck.
I bought my '98 w/78,000 for $17,000 in mint condition! I would look around a bit more. But buying one I'd lean more to one with less miles so you can rack the miles yourself.
On the other hand a lot comes into play when the mileage is freeway miles. It does make a difference that 133,000 hard driven miles. Let us know your decision!
