My neighbor wrecked his '98 coupe, and considering replacing it with a '99 coupe. Could one of you fine folks run a CARFAX (complete report) for me?? I looked at the car today (dealer's lot) white coupe, camel interior, A4, loaded except for HUD. Probably pick it up for a little under 20K..
not supposed to do this on the forum. infrigment rules or something like that. the dlr that has it can run a complete history for you. its not much different than the short version in info. but has more pages telling you about the same stuff with extra guaranties and stuff.
i checked GMVIS and this thing has had more than 50 visits to the shop for repairs. i was going to list them but..... that would take this one finger typer all day. last one was at 54368 miles and on 5-11-04. this thing has had everything from all the valves replaced to the engine oil pump replaced. being that it lost its oil pump i would wonder what else other than valves could have been damaged. i dont think the carfax is the report you should be worrying about with this one. i have ran lots of service histories and never seen one with this many issues reported.

Beware the Carfax trolls.
They especially like it when you publicly display the VIN number, helps them to revoke accounts that look up that VIN (and potentially charge the accounts owners for their generosity in handing out freebies).
