Default Moving to Florida soon........

..........it appears I'll be moving to West Palm Beach, Florida very soon.

I have no idea of any performance shops relatively local or anything. Any of you Floridians know of some good spot to watch drag racing, dyno shops, etc..?

Moroso Motorsports Park is in west palm... they have T&T on wed and fri nights.

There really aren't any LSX specific shops in south florida, and I'm not familiar with any shops in West Palm. Best bet is Horsepower Sales in Pompano and D'Agostino Racing in Davie both are in Broward County, just south of west palm.

I too am moving to (Naples) Florida. Unfortunately its on the Gulf Coast so my research never really scanned the West Palm Beach area. Experience with other moves taught me that the local corvette club is a good place to start. I have friends who live in Vero. They told me that in Vero there is the Indian River Corvette Club (mainly waxers). The North Florida Corvette Association (NFCA.net). Great bunch of people out of Jacksonville. These guys are NCCC diehard drivers. They run autocrosses, high speed events and track days twice a month. Hope this helps.

Had my last Z dyno'd at Breathless Performance (http://www.breathlessperformance.com) down in Ft. Lauderdale and had a great overall experience. Nice clean shop and friendly people there. As far as watching some racing there's Moroso right there in the West Palm area or Bradenton Motorsports park if you're ok with a little bit of a drive. Good luck with the move and welcome to FL

That's ironic, but it's where my car was transported FROM (To Boston).

It must still be in shock

You are moving to a great spot. Ignore Breathless...overpriced! There is a shop in Pompano Beach, Horsepower Sales, who are great! They have also teamed up with Mike Norris (top tuner in Florida, based in Orlando) and he comes down for custom tunes. Also, for drag racing, there is a local Corvette Challenge at Moroso. About 20 to 40 cars out there to drag race. It is a lot of fun. For info about the Corvette Challenge, contact forum member 16Again (Bob). He heads it up. Also check in the General Corvette/Drag Racing section. I believe the schedule is there on one of the stickies. Also, we have a lot of guys/gals that do get-togethers. One we had, had over 140 Corvettes on the turnpike cruising up to Jupiter. Vettes ranged from 1958 up to 2005 (happened last year). Let us know when you get down!
