I Would To See Pics Of Yourvettes With The Indash Tv Installed I Am Thinking Of Getting The Double Din One But Not Sure About Grinding Downthe Center Counsel. Thanks
Check the audio section, there are a few members here that have done some great installs of Double DIN head units that have involved reworking the existing radio/AC control bezel
I chose to not do all the dash work. I found the Sony MEX-5 to be a great headunit that can communicate with the Sony XVM-F65WL wirelessly. Yep, you don't have to connect them. I went ahead and connected the two, because the 1250+ watts that my system puts out caused too much distortion to the screen. Wired, it looks perfect. I mounted the 6.5" LCD screen (XVM-F65WL) in the headliner since we have solid roofs. Here are some pictures of it:

Gee, now there is a great idea!! Let's drive a high-powered sportscar AND watch TV at the same time!!!! I'd laugh, but with all the accidents caused by drivers being distracted by cell phones, eating their lunch, drinking hot coffee, women putting on make-up on the way to work, even idiots reading the newspaper, do we really have to add to that WATCHING TV????

LOL...I was thinking the same thing. Watching a movie instead of watching the road.

I don't understand having TV in the car either?
I did have the joy of watching some hot shot in his 911 Turbo Cab run up under the SUV in front of him, doing quite a bit of damage to his car, because he was not paying attention to the road while reading the latest copy of the wall street journal. I hope he learned enough from reading the article to pay for the damage to his car
Reason why I have it in my Z06 is because I am setting it up for car shows and stereo competitions. When driving or on the track, the LCD monitor stays off. So, before you all jump to conclusions, check what the use is for.
FYI If installed correctly and according to the manufactures instructions the "TV" function will not work without the car either being in park or the parking brake on. When in driving mode they screen shows the display of the radio, navigation and backup camera.
I dont think the thread starter intended to watch TV while he was driving, these screens have alot of uses as stated above such as radio function display/Navi/Back up camera etc.....
