Default Harmonic Balance Part numbers

Have a friend that may need a new Balancer. There are 2 part numbers listed.
1. 12553474 97-00 LS-1
and
2. 12560115 for 01 LS-1 and LS-6

Anyone know the difference and if you can use the 2nd one on a 99.

Thanks in advance.

do not replace the stock balancer with another stock piece.

There are too many other great options out there. There is a rubber lined hub on these stock balancers, which causes them to wobble and sometimes break apart.

Look for an ATI, ASP, Innovative West.

Don't waste your time and money on a stock balancer. Mine failed and caused some serious damage to the front of my motor.

Excellent time to do a cam swap too. Might as well just take off the front engine cover and cam retainer.
