Gas tank leak ?
I stored the car and covered it about three weeks ago, and noticed the fumes last week.
I was worried the fumes were related to something else, can, mower, etc.
I could not find evidence of anything else other than the car being the cause. I would air out the garage then close the doors again and the smell would still be there.
To confirm it was the car, I pushed it out of the garage for a few hours and then pushed it back in. Now the problem is that the odor is gone.
The car was stored almost full and has not been started in three weeks.
For those of you that have had the repair, how slight was the damage? Do they just replace one tank? The crossover piece? What exactly leaked? And, does any of this make sense? I don't want to bring it to the dealer and have them work on my car and do nothing. I also don't want to have to drive it if the roads are sanded/salted, right now that's not a problem though.
Thanks

I know a lot of the 04's have had this issue. The dealer I talked to just did one a month ago. He told me they would only replace one tank if that's all they could find leaking. I was just wondering what other people have experienced.
