mine smelled like that with cats deleted , made me dizzy at times .
put cats back on , problem gone .
check your DIC codes even if the check engine light is not on .

Mine REEKS right now with my PCV disabled (for tuning troubleshooting). The car is venting to atmosphere and boy does it smell like a strong oil/gas odor. Check all PCV hoses, you shoudl have thrown a CEL by now but possibly not depending on which hose.

Could you have a leaking valve cover gasket? Take a look under your
plastic covers and see if you possibly have oil dripping on a manifold from a leaking cover gasket.

Mine had not only a strong smell but was coating the exhaust tips and the rear of the car because it was running rich. When I corrected the tune it all went away. No smell, no mess, but really loud.
