Tom brings up an excellent suggestion.

I also have a shift light in my vette, just as an added visual

So that means I can redline it without worrying about going over ??? ......Keep in mind that I'm a cautious '68 Big block driver with no rev-limiter and I don't want to drop a tranny on the road.

Note - I've only had my Z for a week and haven't had the car up to 6000 (yet)......that needle flys after the 5-mark !!!

Mine will rev to the limiter whether or not I have it in full AH/TC, Comp Mode, or turned off altogether. Unless you are spinning the tires TC shouldn't interfere.

I've only had one bad mis-shift so far, and that was getting on I-10 about 2 weeks ago. I was going from 3rd to 4th, but dropped it into second gear at about 70-75mph. Damn, that needle bounced hard as hell off of that rev limiter!!

Shook me up something fierce and got my foot into the clutch as fast as I could to free it all up ... but man that was a nail-biting experience for sure.

I think everything is fine though... haven't heard or felt any type of problems. Anyone else done this and instantly known if something was wrong with the block/tranny?

Another thing to make sure you are driving in competive mode. Bad things can happen with the t/c off. Ask some guys here to share there mishaps with you.
