fuel rail cover question

Default fuel rail cover question

Do the fuel rail covers on the 2001 just pop off when pulled or is thier something to unbolt.Dont want to break anything.Thank you.

Nothing to unbolt. Just pull them off.

A gentle tug should do it and then just wiggle them out. They are a little snug back near the firewall.

Yes, all the same. As a suggestion I would pop the bottom points of the cover 1st, then the tops. The bottom attachment points are mechanical "pins & clips" as the top is just a plastic "C" molded into the cover itself.

Just pulls straight off. Remember to take off the oil cap and then you will have to maneuver the driver's side cover around the braided fuel line. Thankfully the covers are flexible. I've found that putting a little masking tape around the fuel line before trying to remove the cover helps prevent scratches to the cover.
