I found stevedm's original post to be completely in line with the conversation and since all opinions are welcome here...the lecture was not really necessary. I myself WOULD put a X3 in my car but would NEVER tell someone else my opinion mattered more than theirs.
What is funny is the crack about driving an old camaro and the guy shows you a pic of a car worth many hundred thousand of $$ and is probably faster (1/4 mile) than many of our cars.
"G5X3 AT the MINIMUM" is just a rediculous statement. There are hundreds of cams for many different applications and this statement just makes you look pushy. 95JERSY there was no reason to write some of the comments you did.

Reason: spelling
the g5x3 is a 234/242 600/610 u forgot to add the 2 more degrees on the exhaust side
Didn't really forget...my information was only as accurate as what was given to me by somebody claiming those were the specs. Unfortunately, LG doesn't list the specs on their site and therefore puts us at the mercy of second hand info.
Couple things. I gave my opinion about an experience I just had which seemed relevent to the topic at hand....and did not ask you to lecture me about your opinion....your statement " You own the wrong type of vehicle and should buy a truck or some old muscle car". I'm not sure why you picked my post to show your ******* personality but wether my opinion was right or wrong there is no reason to talk to any other member of this forum like that. I do have a truck and an entire collection of muscle cars.
And about what i drive and how I drive it... is not a big block Camaro..but it is "some old muscle car"...
in case the hood scoop is not readable...it reads HEMI. (the pic is of my dad when he was about my same age) If you know anything about cars you'll know this is a very special car.
First off...sorry if I ofended anyone. But please understand, my tone was not such as to demean any point of view, but to simply drive a point. My truck comments and muscle car comments were NOT meant as a personal attack or generalization, simply just to put in perspective this whole cam discussion and how ridiculous it is to say that a LS6 (even cammed) is low on torque. I guess sometimes when you think as you write, do don't always think about how it will be read.
It's cool, don't take personal offense to my comments...I mean were talking about cars. So no lectures, just take from my post what is valuable and laugh at the rest. I exaggerated to generate some bullish humor.
from what it looks like the X3 is the cam to go with, does anybody have a dyno sheet of both cams, or anyone know the gains of both cams?? thanx for your comments homiez
Um... huge difference... X2 is only a smidge smaller than the X3.
G5X2 232/240 .595/.608 114 +4
The car should make 420-430 rwhp on stock heads w/ all the other boltons I have (itake, headers w/ cats, stingers, etc.)
Tom I'll start a thread w/ pics
Hey Brain, how ya been? Ive finally gotten a chance to tear into my new toy and have been eyeing that G5X2 but on a 112LSA. Whyd you decide to go with the 114? Any real performance difference? Ive been following the install on one of the other sites....looks like its goin well. Take care

Hey dude 112 will make for a choppier idle and make the powerband move down in the rpm range a few hundred rpms. I chose 114 b/c I wanted the car to be more drivable and easier to tune. I'm road racing the car when racing, so it lives above 3000 rpms all the time.
