I believe that emission systems are waranteed for seven years by law, so you may want to take it to the dealer if you are out of waranty.

De nada.

I have headers and highflow cats, I wonder if that will be a problem. The car was in for a new gas tank and heater core and the light came on after that .I took it back and he told me it was the code for cat s and that all they could do was clear the code. It came back on about 4 days after that. The headers have been on at least a year with no codes, I still think its something they did but cant figure out what.It seems like I read some where that to get to the gas tank the transmission has to come out and the exhaust too? Not sure about that . I might try a different dealer and see what they say , was not to happy with the service at this one !

The transmission doesn't need to come out, and the mufflers (not the entire exhaust) only need to be removed if it's an automatic to get the fuel tanks out. Manual tranny vehicles no need to remove mufflers. That's for a stock vehicle. If you have a non-stock exhaust they MAY have had to remove some/all of it to get to the tanks.

Its a manual , the work was done under warranty , just trying to figure out if the codes are caused by some thing they did or not ..

Still getting codes , called the dealer back that did the work and they are no help .I can't figure out what they did that would cause the code but it was no problem before. Its almost out of warranty and not sure if it would be covered anyway because of the headers but it almost has to be something that was done when they had it ?????
