hi everyone i got a 1416 code tried the cleaning mod carb cleaner and w d 40 in air pump hose it threw code 1416 again all hoseses are tight whats next pull the intake to change check valve ?? any help or other solitions to the 1416 code thanks ski this is on my 02 eb z02 just put long tubes on got the 1416c before the tubes now comiing on arter 5 start ups is it the check valve?im kinda scared to pull iltake dont want to screw something else up any comments ? thanks all z06 ers Roy...
I've had this code too. I waited until the engine was cold. That way on startup the AIR pump would kick in. Opened up the rubber hose on the drivers side that feeds to the rear valve. I put one of those straws on the WD40 can that extends the nozzle. Sprayed some in there. Start car and wait for AIR system to kick in. Turn off car. Do it again. I did it a few times until the engine got warmed up. Clear codes. Lasted a few months before it happened again. When you get sick of it throwing that code then just replace the valve.

Yeah unfortunately you do have to. It figures it has to be the part in the back of the engine that you can't reach....
They are notorious for failing. I just do the WD40 trick and it shuts up for a few months. When I can take the car off the road I'm going to fix a few things I want done. This included. Good luck.

thanks again vms4everi just wondered if you knew if you could leave things attached like tb fuel rail and inj and slide it back to replace the valve
or do you take tb off and fuel rails i cant afford the dealer so i got to do this myself if i can i just dont wana f--- things up thanks vms4ever Roy

well i changed the valve i did not pull intake just take off both sides off air yube and the 1 mounting bolt on drivers side head and pull tube assy and valve attached out pass side off my z06 you just have to turne and pull easy and it will come out it wasent easy the bolt took some time to i did pull coil pack and valve cover to make things easer it can be done without pulling the intake just valve cover and wiggel it on out the atached bracket is what makes it so hard comming out im glad its done i just want to thank everyone who heloed me out with all of your advice and Bill curry thank you
