I been seeing a lot of forum members buying catch cans, they are fairly priced being sold by various forum vendors. Just one question, what exactly are the benefits of these oil catch can?, the first time I've seen them were on the C6 Z06. Is it beneficial for somebody who drives their car occassionally or more on when you're doing track/big performance mods ? Thanks for the input! Well I guess that's a few questions
I installed one about 1,000 miles ago and checked it the other day. Found about an ounce of oil in it. I was surprised. I didn't think it would be that much since I don't run the car hard. Nor do I track it.

The main benefit is that it removes the oil vapors from the crank case before they are reintroduced back into the manifold. Basically they keep the inside of your manifold from being coated with oil and reducing performance.
Agree. The PCV system on the LS1 is a little deficient from the factory. The catch can keeps the oil out of the intake and the engine. It is a good upgrade for all. It really isnt a performance mod as much as a prevntive measure.
