Eh...so I just found out the vibration damper on the car needs to be replace. Noticed a slight wobble in the crank pulley and had my shop (I work at a dealer) diagnose it for me - 4.5 hours but the part is only $40.
How does a vibration damper go bad? Seems to be in a place where it would be very difficult to get dinged by anything. Also, how worried should I be about about the rest of the motor? The car runs great - no misses or noticeable vibration...just a bit concerned now.
Lastly, anyone in the Tampa area know of a good shop to do the work? My tech said he wasn't all together comfortable with the install (comforting).
After calling some local Chevy dealerships I may just be paranoid. Spoke with one "Corvette specialist" who said they all wobble a bit and as long as the car didn't miss not to worry about it. "Keep your money" - when's the last time you heard a dealer tell you that
