seat stitch situation
my dad has a '03 Z06 with mod red interior. the driver seat has a couple rows where the thread has come out. he took the entire car somewhere to have it fixed, and it looks like an 8 yr old w/ a needle and thread tried to repair it.
where can the lower center red cover be purchased?
how well will the new and old reds match?

I know what you mean. The stitching on my drivers seat started coming apart. I was lucky and was able to get it covered under warranty. The dealer had me take it to an upholstery shop and the guy took one look at it and said I can't match that stitch (it was something special) and said a new cover would have to be installed. You could try Gene Culley and see if he could get you a stock seat back cover or see it there are some for sale in the parts section. Going aftermarket is an option also but then you have to buy a complete set for both seats.

Try www.eastcoastsupercharging.com. They sell new covers, and padding if you need it. The stiching and leather is far superior to GM's. They also have a thread on it titled ecs custom seat covers
