My '99 has 285K miles on it, original timing chain. Things aren't like they use to be in the old days. I have a new chain ready and waiting for mine as well as an oil pump too and the cover seal... so far, not needed at all.

There is quite a bit of work involved with that. I would not worry about changing it unless you are planning to change out the cam in the future.

Unless you are having problems, I wouldn't worry about it. They should last a lot longer than 58K miles.
