K & N Filter question
Just got K&N's air filter. I think the additional foam gasket that comes in the box is for another application because I measured the thickness of the original filters rubber gasket and it is the same as the K&N rubber gasket.
Do I have this correct?

install the gasket that comes with the filter (sticky side down). It is a bit tedious to get in, but you will tell the difference if you also get the airbox cover with the enlarged hole,(this is similar to the 02 cover, but a bit larger).

Yup. The filter then sits on top of that (the gasket), and you snap the top half of the air box down on that. Easier to get at it between the hood and the front of the car if your hands and arms aren't too big.

Thanks for the tips Dennis. I installed it last night. It is somewhat easy if you slice the backing off the sticky side and pull it off as you work the it around.
