Most of the population doesn't have a "clue", doesn't mean they're stupid, necessarily, some are less than thoughtful, but most just don't know.
They see a car as basically just a car and are clueless to value, etc. For most of us you can set a group of pictures in front of us and we couldn't pick out the Picaso (I'd probably set my beer on it).

I have a story for you guys when i had my 75 vette i went to a mall near my house not alot of stores in this small mall but a very big parking lot.I parked the vette not perfectly stright maybe at a slight angle mind you their were no other cars anywhere around where i parked the car.As i was getting out of the car some guy pulled up in the next section in front of me and their were no cars their either and said to me i can get you a ticket for parking your car like that i told him i am going in the store over their and if you touch my car i will kill you do you understand i will kill you.He got back in his truck and left the parking lot very fast.I loved it but no one touches my car.
