There were two different types of tire pressure sensors used for the C5 model years - one for model years 1997 through 2000 and the other type for model years 2001 through 2004. The two types of sensors are not interchangeable and you will have to use the correct sensor for your car's model year. Other than that, the OEM magnesum wheels will work fine on your car.

The tire pressure sensors from a 2000 Corvette will fit in the magnesium wheels from a 2004 Corvette and will work properly in your C5. Just remember to keep each sensor in the same wheel location as they were before switching to the magnesium wheels so that you don't have to reprogram them.

The sensors from the '01-04 C5s will not work with your '00. You will need to install the correct ones ('97-'00) in order for them to work.
