Default Seriously considering a repaint...questions?

Hey guys...I've got a black 1998 that I am considering repainting. Do you think I would be better off repainting it a factory color, like Millenium Yellow or Electron Blue, or something different and custom, like an Orange or Yellow Pearl?? If I went through with this, I would be keeping the car for quite awhile, so resale value isn't really an issue I suppose.

I almost feel like if I just did a factory color, I should just sell mine and find one that color, instead of going through the hassle of painting mine.

If anyone has repainted their Vette, could you PM me, as I have a few questions..thanks!

Also...if anyone has any pics of Orange C5s, that would be great if you could post them up too!

If I was you I would stay Black but add a Blue or Violet Pearl. It Looks awesome, I recently painted my C-4 that color (Black/Blue Pearl) and what a look. I personally think that the Black is one of the best colors on the C-5s. Again just my Opinion. Good Luck. Nassau Blue is pretty cool too.

I have a black 97 and had it painted about 6 months ago. I had some red pearl mixed into the black paint and i think it looks great. On an overcast day, and at night the car is black. But when its sunny outside you can see the red pearl in the paint and it looks real nice. But thats what I wanted, black most of the time and somethin special in the sun.

I'll try an get a good pic of it tomorrow.

I too have a black 2001. In my opinion it definately is in need of a paint job. I have had pro touch ups over the years but now believe it needs the whole job. I would be very interested in seeing some pics and if it not an intrusion would like to know about how much (any good shops in the phoenix area?) I had my prior work done at Scott's Auto Coach which does great work but want to know if there are some other shops to check out.
