305/30/19 guys - Issues on car? PIC"S added
Hi all mounted new tires last night 305/30/19 ps2 rears, 275/30/19 ps2 fronts on CCW 505's. I am seeing the rear stick out about 1 - 1 1/4" at the top of the rear wheel?? CCW built 11.5" wheels for the rear to accept the PS2's.
How do your tires fit in the wells, most pictures I find are side views.
I will post some pic's latter this morning my camera cord is in my office.

hmmm....1-1.25 in sticking out is a LOT.
maybe they sent you the wrong offset?

Update Pic's
Talked to CCW offset is right, John tells me the PS2's are a wide profile and lowering the car 3/4" will help. Also I only have about 1/2" between the tire and the car on the inside of the well.???

does it list the offset on the inside of the wheel? that does not look right at all.
my 305s dont look like that, but my current wheels are 19x11 w/63mm offset.
i'd show you a top down pic if i could, but my new fenders wont let me.

Just to be sure of the offset, you should measure it. Offset is the distance between the wheel mounting face and the center of the wheel.
Lowering the car is not a fix. You should be able to get the suspension to settle by moving the car about 25 feet. The wheel should come back to the proper camber. Check again how far the tire sticks out after doing that.

Well,I have ccw's also and have always thought they stuck out just a little bit. It causes me to rub if I lower it as much as I would really like to.
I currently run a 19x11 rear wheel with 295/35/19 pilot sports( the old style)
I have talked with many other ccw owners whom have not had these problems and have somehow come to the conclusion that it is my tire size as most of the others had 305/30/19 tires( Pirelli's)
Now I am a little confused, but I will bet that extra 1/2 of wheel was set to the outside of the hub somehow.Correct me if I am wrong, but wouldn't that prompt the response that the offset is correct?
I hope so,because I am planning on running the ps2's in 305 or 315's if they will fit properly on my 11" wheel when I have to replace tires
Here is the best pic I have of my situation, not the best, but you get the idea:

How would lowering help this situation. I must have missed something somehwere in this post and if I did I am sorry, BUT what I see here has nothing to do with lowering the car to help remedy the problem.
From what I see, you apparently have the wrong OFFSET wheel.

I have been discussing options with John at CCW for a while, and he has mentioned that the C5 has pretty loose build tolerances. This means there can be a great deal of variance in avaiable real estate out back. Maybe that is part of your issue?!?

OK, I went and snapped a better pic of my filthy car.
After seeing what you have, and what I have as well as Glenn's description of offset, your wheel sticks out 1'4" more than mine......
then add the extra tire width width and there it is........
I can live with mine, but I would be unhappy with your setup
This is the "correct offset" according to John
Maybe there IS something to the post about varying real estate in the booty

Wow! Just ordered a similar combo, different wheel profile, but same width, 11.5inch, and 305/30-19 PS2's in back. I'll post a few pics when I get everything mounted up.
