Last year Benny Parsons was the Keynote speaker at a breakfast in Indianapolis. He opened the Rod and Custom suppliers show. After touring the show I was leaving the building and he was walking out at the same time. I introduced my self told him how much I enjoied his comentary during the NASCAR races. He was the nicest guy, he stopped, he shook my hand, we chatted for about 5 minutes before we went our own ways. I was shocked when I heard a few weeks later he had been diagnosed with lung cancer. I was saddened when I heard the news about his passing. While we will miss you BP watch out for Dale Sr., Davie Alison, Adam Petty and all the other NASCAR greats in Heaven's Daytona 500 this year. God Bless You!
As an old NASCAR fan this really is sad. I remember him as a driver then all his work with ESPN with Ned that really put NASCAR on the map. I hated to hear he was sick and had a bad feeling about this last season. I lost my Mother to cancer 3 years ago and I know how hard it is on everyone.
