Default Difference in shifter

I am looking at purchasing a new shifter for my Z06.
I see that B&M has 2 different part numbers.
Can anyone tell what is different about them?

They are both Ripper Shifters.
#45044
#45057

Also does anybody suggest any other shifter and why?

Thanks.
Rick

I don't have either shifter, but from researching/reading past discussions, here's what I know...I hope this is accurate.
the #45044 is the original version with a solid lever...some complained about vibrations/noise.
the #45057 is the latest version with a rubber insulated lever, much like oem, which apparently isolates much of the vibrations/noise coming into the interior.
Both would use the oem **** or any after market **** with 9/16-18" thread.

i thought the 45044 was the newer version (shaft looks more like the stock one), where 45057 (shaft is skinny)...

correct me if i am wrong..

I do have the model versions reversed...go to their website, bmracing.com
I'm relatively certain that the main difference is in the insulated lever though.

#45044 is the newer version. I just got one for Christmas & installed it. The install is simple, shifts are a huge improvement, & I have had zero issues with noise/vibration/heat. I highly recommend the shifter, great upgrade.

Older version (#45057) installed in mine and it's great

There may be a wee bit of vibration but it's not nearly as bad as some claim. My engine and exhaust overpowers any noise.

Ive proububly had more shifters than most (I'm hard to please!) and If you can read directions and DO the adjustments then it gota be the "HURST" shifter, you can customise this down to the inth degree!
