Default Please help with an engine problem - 01 C5

I'm a recent corvette owner and I have a problem that recently showed up. Before I go into it, here is some history. I purchased the car (manual) in November with 65k on it and drove it to Texas from New York. Upon getting here my ABS light came on. I took it to the dealer and it was the EBCM of course. Soon after that came the problem I have a question about. When I start the car in the morning my engine revs way up, and when it comes down it gets stuck at 1500 rpms. When I get into first it will rev normally, but whenever I'm not on the gas it will go back up to 1500. The weird part of the whole thing is that if I let the car sit for 4 or 5 minutes it will drop to 800 rpms and work properly. If anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it.

Hmm never pay much attention in my vette since it doesnt go out on cold days, but some of my past vehicles would do that really only because its cold outside?

Usually in cold weather it idles high until it warms up then it drops to normal idle RPM. So what your saying doesnt sound out of the ordinanry by any means. My $.02

Yes, it does drop down after it warms up. I was just worried, but I'm relieved to hear that it isn't a sign of something terribly wrong. Thanks for the help!
