As much as I love my Corvette - I wouldn't ever mark my body with GM's logo - unless of course they were willing to pay me lifetime fees for advertising space!
I guess that I'm just not that devoted to anything that I want a permanent reminder of it.....
As long as you're happy - it's all good with me. And BTW - the respectable job comment WAS true about 25 years ago - now anything goes unless it's obscene or promotes illegal activities. What I would consider obscene would be a Ford logo on your bicep!
You guys must be special. "Hey guys, check out my vette tat, uh huh, I don't remember where I left my two front teeth." I found a site for you tools... http://www.mulletsgalore.com/
Damn man, I think you need to remove the cobb from your a**
I think it looks painful. I try to avoid pain as much as possible. But I guess it's a generational thing. My 20-year-old daughter who is terrified of a tetanus shot is inked, too. If you have to tattoo, might as well be vette related!

Yep, I said the same thing.......I just couldn't resist replying to his last little comment though.

Actually I have been paid money for advertising some of my Tats before. Not a whole lot, but that's not even why I got 'em. As far as my Chevy Logo tattoo......that will always be a constant reminder of my love for the Chevy Legacy. I believe the Chevy line of cars during the 60's and early '70's was by far the best line of cars ever made by one manufacturer during a specific period of time. The Novas, the Chevelles, the Camaros and the Corvettes.......those will always be the four most impressive cars that were built by one company during a short period of time. IMO, no other company has ever been able to duplicate what GM did with all the Chevy Muscle that graces our streets today. Don't get me wrong, I love the modern day muscle we have right now, but my first love will always be "Yesterdays Chevrolets". Heck, even my screen name describes my committment to Chevy.
Oh yeah, I'm right there with you on the obsenity of having a Ford tattoo on my arm.

Wow, thanks a lot you guys! As much as I really like my other tats, there's absolutely nothing that will compare to that one. My dad was my hero and my best friend.
And I agree with you about the detail. I thought it would take someone like "Kat" (Miami Ink) to make it look so real, but this little 5 foot gal in downtown Seattle just blew my socks off when I seen it.
In fact she impressed me so much, I tipped her 100 bucks.

You know what they say: One is too many, two is not enough
The wifey and I have thought about a 2nd one (we each have one) - neither of ours show unless we're at the beach (er, or running around naked, er, which happens quite a bit actually )
Jeez, I didn't really even read the whole thread - some seriously bad mojo from a few folks!
Definitely not a good a idea to pigeonhole people with Tattoos into some pre-determined intellectual capacity or economic strata.
(I won't bore the board with our educational level, business acumen, social position or financial details, but let's just say we both have all our teeth ).

Wow, that's unbelievable! Did it take you very long to come up with that one?
