I would almost wonder if the owner made any money on the car considering what the original price of the vehicle was in 1978, compared to what the equivalent money would be today?
The subject Pace Car at the top of this post is a 1998 - that makes it NINE years old, not 29. You must have confused this one with another car.

Last night was live from 7-12 EST.
That car went for 49k - I think -
I also heard the announcer mention 10% buyer’s fee several times during the broadcast. Up from 8% last year.

If you throw in the sellers fee BJ is making about 18% on all sales+ it cost $500 to get a bidders card. BJ is making a ton of money, when you add in othere things like vendor charges, day trippers ,its even better (for them)
Late last evening there was a 99 coupe with a wicked flame paint job, nice chrome wheels and a maggie. Not sure of the mileage, but looked like a decent buy to me at around $55K.

Coming from someone that owns a ford you must know about being GARISH.
It did go on Thursday for 33k. The original description said it had an automatic but in fact it was a 6spd. It was one of the cars driven by chevrolet at the Indy event and used for a press car. It had a few aftermarkets on it such as corsa exhaust. Not much return on an investment-better to drive your car and have fun that to worry about its value down the road.

500 gets u two bidder cards wooo I feel beter now I get to take a friend to watch me pay way to much for cars..
I saw this car in person yesterday and it is a nice car. Good paint job and the same wheels that I have. Now I'll tell you I paid way less for my 04 Z06 with the same mods, and only 3000 miles. This car like nearly everything there was way overbought. But hey it's a great place to sell cars like this.
