Front license plate screened cutout?
I see that some of you don't have a front license plate and in its place is some kind of screened cover. I assume it's for more airflow into the engine compartment. Where did you get it, or how did you do it? I thought maybe dremeling it out and placing a screeneed cover over it? Any ideas?

its by HAlltech I have one. its a piece that screws in just like the front plate filler and has a screen in, you dremmel out the area behind it. if you ever need to run a front plate at a later time, you can, the places where the plate screws in doesnt get cut out. Ill post pictures this weekend, Im going to paint the screen black

It is my understanding that they don't still sell them. I think there may be a few around new but most are used and you just have to look around. I got mine used and had it painted. It does increase air flow and cooling while moving.

I've seen pics of them on the cars - looks great. Just wish we didn't have to run two plates here.

Just installed mine last night. I used a dremel for the better part of the operation....plan on lots of acrid smoke from the burning urethane. Following the initial cut, I used an Xacto knife to smooth the edges and cherry it out. The urethane is really easy to cut, and now in retrospect, I might've had less work to do if I just used the Xacto knife to begin with.
Good luck, it looks pimp and definitely gets more air into the engine compartment/intake with the right filter set-up.

Thanks for the help, but LG and Halltech don't have these products on their websites. Maybe I'll call Jim @ Halltech. Maybe he'll know where I can get one. If I saw one on the forum I would of boughten it, but haven't seen any? Anybody got one they want to sell?

What's right behind the license plate area of the bumper?
Is there room behind it to cut with a sawzall blade or cut with a rotozip cutter?
Anybody got any pics of the removal and install?
Thanks

It's just soft plastic. Hey Dave, you made more work than you needed. It just cuts easily with a utility knife.

LOL...tell me about it.
Hawk There is some wiring on the lower portion of the front fascia. There is also some of the styrofoam bumper on the upper corners of where you're gonna need to cut. Use a utility knife or dremel. Cut carefully and if you're going to use a utility knife, make sure to cut slowly and with 2 hands so as not to slip and slice up your fascia.
