I got the mod bug so baaaad.

Well I figured if I had Headers, I needed a CAI and Catback system to go with them. Thanks guys, I blame it on you for always posting how great a sound/performance this combination makes. So off to the Forum I went and in a couple of weeks had a Vararam and Magnaflow Catback (thanks Shawn and Nate). Now, I had this aspiration to do the installs myself. Well as a slightly overweight 52 year old, I decided to look around for an installer. Now, this is when it really went bad.
I narrowed my search down to a local installer, who I had heard about for many years. It turned out to be Vette Doctors ( http://www.thevettedoctors.com )in Amityville, Long Island. Carmen was great, he installed all me equipment without a hitch and put a tune on her which I couldn't believe. Went from 308 rwhp to 344 but more importantly the rwtq increased to 366. The car pulled like a mother, and all without increasing the Throttle plate opening percentage vs pedal depression
Then, if this wasn't far enough, Edgar Perez (CF - REDGAR), got me interested in Drag Racing ( www.corvettechallenge.info ) and have over 125 runs down the quarter with a best of 12.47. We are off to Virginia in February to compete in the National Corvette Challenge ( http://national.corvettechallenge.info )
Well if you look in my sig, it has gotten worse, and I have an appointment with Carmen, Dennis and Joey at the end of the month to continue the quest with a Head and Cam swapout. The goal is 450 rwhp plus.
Mod Fever, yeah I'd say I got it bad, only wish my pocketbook wasn't so light
Good luck and hope you always go down the path that makes you happy. I know the car has become a valuable part of both me and my wife Karin. We have met so many great people, acquired new friends, and gone on many great runs.Ed

Oh yes!Having very little in bills helps support my mod habit. Having 3 cars to mod always keeps me busy. My DD just got a few mods. I feel bad since the vette hasn't got much mod attention lately. My Camaro has been getting most of it. But since my next vette mods will be good ones, either AR Headers or a MCM Hood, i've gotta save up a while to fund those. I am going to Vegas next month, who knows maybe i'll hit it big and win enough mod money for some F/I!!!!!!!!

So far I've done
Z06 Sways
Slotted brakes w/ new pads
Lowered on stock bolts
Stinger Cat back
Cags
CCA Tunnel plate.
Painted my calipers (not real pleased with how they came out)
Painted engine bay peices
Painted my hood insulator logo (not pleased with this project either)
SS letter inserts for the rear fascia
Install tomorrow list:
C6Z06 shifter and ****
EE frame saver rails
Still to do list:
Get some new tires for the C6Z06 wheels I bought
Get the iPod2car adapter
Send in my Calipers to get them powdercoated
Install CarMotorsports hood and trunk liners
Install chrome hood and trunk latches.
Install chrome fasteners around the engine, trunk, gas cap, etc
The list goes on and on.
will it ever end? I hope not cause it's fun.
I've even thought about getting an FRC just so I can wildly mod something other then my CE vert
Sell my SS headers (I've decided not to change my exhaust that much)

Last three weeks without my car has been sucking.
I can't wait to do some of the mods you guys are doing!
