I'm not all-together unhappy with my Borla Stinger exhaust, but as time has gone on, I wouldn't mind something a little louder. Aside from swapping to Bullets or any other system, is there any way of modifying the Stingers to make them meaner/louder? (Adding long-tubes or additional mods is out of the question for me right now). Has anyone altered their Stingers?? or have any ideas?
headers + straight pipes + BIG CAM = unhappy neighbors
I don't think that there is anything that you could do to make them louder besides driving around in 2nd gear all day. About the only thing that will help is what's listed above or switching to B&B Bullets.
How about cut-outs? Couple hundred $$, but cheaper than LT's. BTW, I agree with you. I love my Stingers, but they're not loud enough. So I got LG LT's.

I was in the same position that you currently are and I went with a Corsa X-pipe and SLP Loudmouths. It is MUCH louder and has the same tone as the stingers, just don't hang around 2500 rpm too long or the windows might shatter! As for the price, I sold my stingers here and that just about covered my cost for the SLP Loudmouths. I then bought the X-pipe and I am very happy with the difference in sound! All for about $300.
Yep I have longtubes...highflow cats and a cam with my Stingers...it's almost too loud...I said almost.
When I step on it you get the whine of the Magnacharger...ahhhh...gotta love it.
I moved into a new home a little over a year ago and I do try to be sensitive as to when I come in and out of the neighborhood...my car is pretty loud. I often take the Cherokee or the little "fast and furious" car if it's really early in the morning or late in the evening.
I think it is illegal to tamper with the cats in every state- especially CA...
sure is..and with Longtube headers you won't pass most states emission tests anyway, unless you get a dyno tune, and turn off the rear O2's.... and there is no visual inpsection like in CA.
