I hear that the Katech bolts are the way to go as they guarantee that the rods don't have to be resized, however they are more expensive than ARP.
You'll have to drop the front cradle to do the install... I wouldn't think it would be hard if you had the proper tools to support the motor but then again I haven't done it on a C5. I bet you would have to realign the front of the car when you're done though.

Yes. It is an easy direct swap without resizing the rods.
I Have A 2003 Z06 With A 7000 Rpm Red Line Which I See Fairly Often. Im Thinking Of Changing The Rod Bolts To Some Quality Ones Such As Arp. Wondering How Difficult Of A Job That Is. I Used To Work As A Mechanic For A While On Imports But Never Got Into On Of These Ls Motors. Anyone Who Can Offer Some Help In This Matter Would Be Appreciated.
Thanks
IIRC, the rod bolts aren't a big issue on the LS6 at this rpm level. I believe it's the LS1 rod bolts that have issues if exceeding, I believe, 6800. The part to worry about when hitting 7000rpm is the OEM valve springs.
But anyway, if you do want to still change the rod bolts...i would use the Katech bolts as already mentioned. Katech isn't no small time shop. From my understanding the are the engine guys behind the C5R racing team and the CTS-V racing team. They also have a long list of other accomplishments. Check out their "about us" section of their website. Quite an accomplished pedigree they have.
