New Cam ,,,,
So I had a cam installed this week and thought I could sneak it past the wife http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1599445 ,
I was wrong
.Yesterday when I left for work it woke her and she told me later that it sounded like my car wanted to die and they must not have fixed it right .I told her that they just changed how it was tuned and its all good.So last night when we go out she says lets take the vette , we almost always take her car, me =
. So we get going down the road and I am taking it easy and she looks over at me at the first light and says , you have done something else to the car and me =
and she said , CAM!!!!!! and me =
and I thought she would = 
but she was actually pretty cool with it. She then said she wanted to drive it to work next week and got mad when I asked her if she could handle it , I was joking about that of course .....

Was that truly your wife that posted on your other thread, or someone from the website just joking with you. Also, what I've come to realize, especially after my last car, is that my wife is not nearly as naive as I think she is. She is not into cars, never has been and will never take an interst in modding my car, but she does know a little bit about everything and I can never slide anything past her as far as the car goes. By the way he put the MTI R1 cam in his car.

There was a post that said "the wife will not find out as long as you feed me." I thought that might have been your wife, or someone just playing with you, that's all that I meant. Now that I re-read it I think I understand what it meant.

Sometimes it is hard to sneak something by the wife, especially something like a cam. Even though you were busted, looks like she didn't mind too much.

Great story and all I had to do when I started mods was to buy my wife a new car first, so I have modded my coupe as much as I paid for her car and no issues and the great thing is she can not drive a stick

What HP did you put down? Do you have a clip of your car at idle? I've got MTI's G1 cam and 2E heads in the garage waiting for install ... beginning to wonder if I should go a little bigger on the cam.

Mojo1, I called this morning. Everything with the engine is in(cam, springs, pushrods, pulley, cai), I think he said that all they have left to do is the exhaust. Said it would be ready on Monday. He is going to call me back w/ the baseline numbers. I can't wait for Monday to come; very anxious to hear how the car is going to sound!!! It should lope pretty good and w/ the bb bullets should be pretty loud.
