any advice-pro or con on using this to keep battery charged during winter?

I use one, works great. They won't "overcharge" the battery.

I have two of them...I've been using one for just over 10 years and a newer one since last summer, both on OPTIMA batteries.

I went to start my vette today and it would'nt go just did a lot of click clicking...?????? I had the battery minder on it for 3 months.never had a problem with it before. ??

Love my battery tender plus have had the car hooked up to it since oct, and it will hooked up till april.I have used it for 3 years.

I picked up a couple of Black & Decker units from wallyworld super cheap and am going to give those a shot. A number of people have used them with great success. .....and yes...I did say "unit"

Got three in use right now. Don't waste your $$$ on expensive unts. Harbor Freight has them for $15 or less.

I've got one hooked up to my car and it works just fine. Not a single problem keeping the battery charged.
