differencail Capactiy
i want to change my differencail oil how does it take and what would be the best, i done a search and not found a good answer.

I beleive it's 2 quarts, BUT it's pretty simple.
1) Drain the differential.
2) Put the washer and drain plug back in and secure.
3) Open the fill plug and refill. You refill until fluid starts to come out of the fill hole. THEN let it sit for a while until it stops dripping, put the fill plug back in.
Use Synthetic fluid like
Royal Purples Max-Gear
With Royal Purple you do NOT have to add GM's additive to the gear fluid..

Should be a little less than 2 quarts.

A bit less than 2 qts. for a refill. Don't forget to add the friction modifier if the diff fluid you choose doesn't already have it added.

What is the friction modifier? Is that the GM additive?
