Default Need some opinions

Here is the scenario, I have been looking around for a C5 and founf 2 I liked. The first one is a 99, it has the Borla exhaust and the crome wagon wheel rims. It has 28,000 miles on it and it is in excellent condition. The only thing is that the rear differential has been serviced twice and I really am not too fond of the wagon wheel rims. The second one is a 02 with 30,200 miles on it and it too is in excellent condition and it is about $3000 more then the 99. Is is really worth spending the extra $3000 on the newer one. I like both that is my dilema. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Stop thinking about the '99 if there is only that much difference.

02..

If you get the 99 and don't like the wheels...you'll endup getting new wheels and spending more anyway.....the 02 is worth the little extra!!!

I'd opt for the 2002. Sounds like you would spend some of the diiference on wheels anyway if you bought the 99.

On another note, I would not be too concerned about the rear being serviced previously. At least one of those services was probably to fix a leak. I'd be willing to bet the 02, when you run the VIN will show a rear repair somewhere along it's 5 years.

Oh, I'd go with the 02 as well. The differenece in the year models is sufficient alone not even talking about the wagon wheels.

As for the differntial, that could go either way. Maybe they got it with the last servicing. How long ago was it?
