Cop stopped me

to compliment my car
I was slowly backing out of a small Mexican food joint onto a side street..i mean my car is pretty slammed (drm coilovers)..ridiculous
cop is coming straight towards me in the opposite direction and i relize the angle i took out the lot had me covering up the pathyway of the cop...i hurry up and and get it into 1st (and throwing my seatbelt on
) and he waves his hand signaling me to stop.
"that a Z06?"-cop
"Oh no this? Its a regular vette hardtop, this came out 2 years before"-me
"so its a 99? Looks new, very clean..."- cop
"yeah, i work over at the chevy dealership down the block"- me
" how much did you guys lower it"- cop
Now i was thinking he was going to be upset, possibly right me up...
"Uhhhhhh im not sure, its adjustble...still haev to rasie it up"- me
He then gets on his radio..
"alright man, i got a call ill see you later"-cop
ahahah thoguht id share..thought i'd get busted, but didnt

We were telling war stories and when he found out I had a vette, a c4 back then, he told me he had a ZR-1 and had never been given a ticket, but that he did run from a cop one time and we put 2+2 together, and ........ He said he did'nt really run, he just got off the freeway when he saw a cop turn around. Anyway, the date and time matched pretty close, so i guess he kind of confessed in a way. He bought me a beer and we kind of laughed about it... Not that I favored what he did, but it was kind of wierd how things come together sometimes.

the old "altered suspension" ticket is what we get here in va, but the police don't normally mess with you unless you **** em off first. hondas on the other hand...they get it pretty hard!

I have only had the Vett 5 days and already the airdam thing at the front is catching on things. I don't see how you guys can lower them anymore than they are stock.
There can't be more than 3-4" clearance on the front airdam thing.
I would never get over the speed bumps if it was any lower!

I've only stopped one Vette in my 6 yrs. as a peace officer. He made an illegal "U" turn at a very bad intersection. He had just bought the car. Him and his wife were driving it back to where they lived, somewhere in Arkansas I think. A very cool looking car, had several cosmetic mods. I gave him directions on where to get to a motel. He was very nice, thanked me, I thanked him, and they were on their way. No citation.

u know i dont understand why almost every cop i talk to ask me how i can afford such a nice car,pretty much what they mean to ask is r u a drug dealer i guess theres not to many 30 yr old people in town that have vettes,i usually repliy with if u didnt have kids youd probally have one of these yourself,any way im not a damn drug dealer,me and my wife work we what we got
