With a little nip and tuck of the center console bezel, the 2 DIN space Pioneer Z1 and Eclipse 5495's seem to be a couple of good options to check into.
Here's my Panasonic I got installed about 2 years ago. I really enjoy it! I didn't really care for how much it stuck out of the dash but I have gotten used to it.

Will the Pioneer AVICs use the stock C5 Bose speakers and CD changer, or they have to be changed too? What is needed for the N3 other than the wiring harness kit?
Wow guys, some nice set ups.no my question is.............I been told that when you hook up this touch screens on the C5 you loose your 8" speaker sound?????????
I also went to Crutchfiels.com and it tells you the same on every unit they sell. Im not looking to upgrade my Stereo Equipment, all I want is stock speakers and the Touch Screen, I will be using a AV input to plug my Laptop on it and be able to see my wideband commander and also a tunning program soon! !
As far as the installation plate for the touch screen, who sells them........

there should be an adapter to connect it to the bose. i have the GMOS-04 in my truck and use the bose speakers and amps with the AVIC-Z1.
as for the install plate, its all custom, there is no plate for it. c5kidd makes the surrounds for the double din's but the rest it best left to an installer.
I saw ads on "a popular auction site" for in car PCs. I thought about it, but I'm curious as to how well it's integrated for sound. I would hate to wait for windows to boot up before I heard the radio.
I have an Alpine IVA-D900. I like it, but I wish it had gps nav. I'll probably replace it this year with a pioneer.
