speaker question
Ok... I know that every one has the single sub on the C5 vette but the panel on the side is my question? Has any one seen people put subs in those small little compartments....? 8's? 10's? Anything....? I think it would be an original idea but every one I have asked says no way.... Any input?

The only way to put a sub inthe smaller compartments, is to cut. You must cut a large enought space to fit the rear of the sub and the top. You must be able to build an enclousre. Those two compartments are better used to put an amp, cd changer, dvd chager, tv tuner, etc. All you really need is one 10 inch woofer to make the car sound great.

it is done. you can line the compartments with contact paper and fiberglass the boxes to fit perfectly. the contact paper keeps the resign from sticking to the car. go to the audio section and call up scottfx, or pentavolvo. those two cats have it together. that section is full of very intelligent and helpfull people. probably find some pics of exactly what your looking for. good luck

2 8s in the back corners are easily done and require no cutting of anything other than some MDF. I'm in the process of doing the same thing. As the compartments stand now they are just under 3/4 cubic ft and once a box is made to fit the volume will be almost perfect. As an added bonus, the subs will be clear of the top when it's in the holder.
