I REALLY like this angle! Sometimes I see the BPP lights and they look bubble-like, and others I see look more flush. Is this a difference in mounting bracket adjustment? I'm going for the more flush look, like in this picture. I also don't like the retangular bulb, so if I go this route, I'd do HID's and probably do a custom carbon fiber surround.
Very cool DPG. I'm wonding whether I should just build something from scratch. The only difficult part would be the lexan. I've no objection to cutting the inder fender. And I don't mind the slight bubbled look of the BPP lexan. Even WITH the rectangular light of which I'm not fond, these are still the nicest looking C5 headlights IMO.
Thanks for the compliments. Its still a work in progress because ive been slacking on these. they do get very hot, but with the fans in there its not bad. Very hot to the touch though. i havent had any issues so far other than the light reflected off the lens burning marks into the bottom cover. (kinda like how a magnify lens burns ants) I'll check to see if i have a pic to show you what im talkin about.
You can definitly build yours from scratch, thats practically what i did. What you can do is just order the lenses from breathless performance. Last time I check I think it was 125 for one lens.
stormrider, im not sure i follow on your second part of the question about the install.
i cant seem to find a pic of the burn marks. I'll try to take some on monday night and post them.
Theres also someone else on here that has made his from scratch and he bought i think the c5r lenses, not sure on which ones, but his look great. I think his forum name is benelliwang
